Eternity’s Rainbow © 1972, aidan nolan
So now we look around, look around going down, what do we see?
So now we sit and stare, sit and stare through the air, what can we be?
And all of yesterday’s papers, could never make you understand,
And all of Saturday’s lovers, could never show me I’m a man,
But there’s a blue lining, on Eternity’s Rainbow,
And there’s a blue river, yet to flow.
So now we close the door, close the door like before, when we came in,
And tuck ourselves in bed, into bed, then we said, “Where to begin?”
And all the tears of the children, who never ever learnt to cry,
Are lost and tossed in the cauldron, with those who never said “Goodbye,”
But there’s a blue lining, on Eternity’s Rainbow,
And there’s a blue river, yet to flow, and I know………
We can make it flow, we can ride it, if we can find it,
We can make it flow, we can ride it, if we can find it,
we can make it flow.
So now we look around, look around going down, what do we see?
So now we sit and stare, sit and stare through the air, what can we be?
The many moons of the millions, that shine up in the bright black sky,
Are only riding the pillions, of everybody’s lullaby,
And there’s a blue lining, on Eternity’s Rainbow,
And there’s a blue river, yet to flow, I know, it’s so.
