Lyrics

Tales From The Sun

Rock You

Nothing too subtle here.  A song of straightforward and honest lust written to a young lady who always insisted she was “just a friend.”

The “moon” and “shadow” reference is to another personal experience you don’t want to know about that taught me the true meaning of the phrase, “You get nothing for not asking.” Too long to explain and too much sordid information.

Up on the moon they told me, don’t be afraid of shadows,
Think of the one you only, think of the time that matters,
Each and everyone, stands before the sun,

I wanna rock you, I wanna get down and see your soul,
I wanna rock with you lady and I’m thinking every time you smile,
That it’s only just another mile away.

You’ve always said you know me, lift up your skirt and show me,
Cast your shadow down, on the empty ground,

I wanna rock you, I wanna get down and see your soul,
I wanna rock with you lady and I’m thinking every time you smile,
That it’s only just another mile away.

And if you’re running away I’ll find you,
You are a friend of mine, you
Brighten up the skylight of my every single day,
And if you’re looking around I’ll know you,
And if you need me to guide I’ll show you,
I only want to see you get away, hey, hey, hey, hey!

I wanna rock you, I wanna get down and see your soul,
I wanna rock with you lady and I’m thinking every time you smile,
That it’s only just another mile away.
